Dr. Visconti received her Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1988 from the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto. During her 4 years at the Faculty of Dentistry she was involved in research projects and was awarded the Terry Fox Cancer Research Award. Following a one year internship at Sunnybrook Medical Center in Toronto, she attended the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Manitoba graduating in 1992 with her Orthodontic Specialty Certification and Masters of Science. She has presented at several meetings of the International Association of Dental Research throughout her academic career and has been the first author of several peer-reviewed articles and abstracts.
Following her graduation, Dr. Visconti moved to Timmins and has enjoyed a career as a solo practitioner for the past 24 years. Throughout that time she has served as line officer for the Timmins and District Dental Society.
For the past 20 years she has been involved with the Ontario Dental Association serving on several advisory committees and task forces. She was elected to the Board of Directors in 2012 and is currently the President-Elect of the Ontario Dental Association.
In addition to being involved in organized dentistry Dr. Visconti is a volunteer in her community, sitting on several committees and chairing many fundraising events for community projects. One of her passions is music, and in particular playing violin in the Timmins Symphony Orchestra. She also loves to sing, which has earned her the nickname, “The singing doc!”
